We at South Paw Canada are committed to helping you market your business successfully. An important part of that mission is providing the goods and services you need to network effectively at a variety of events, from simple business lunches to crowded tradeshows. Working tradeshows can be an intimidating prospect, whether you’re attending one for the first time or the fiftieth. To help you get the most from your time at the tradeshow, here are two important principles to keep in mind:
- Reach out to the organizers. It’s always a good idea to be friendly to the organizers of any business event, particularly one as involved as a tradeshow. Reach out as early in the planning process as you can, as establishing rapport with the organizers and staff can benefit you when it gets to show time–you might get perks such as a better booth location or an extra electrical outlet. Establishing a relationship with the tradeshow organizers is especially valuable if you plan to return to this event in the future.
- Make your booth approachable. If you want to attract clients to your booth, it’s important to make your booth approachable. This includes things like having attractive displays and quality handouts. It also includes preparing your team so that they’re ready to provide information about your business and maintain a positive, welcoming attitude. Make sure your team members know which part of the work they are responsible for, and if possible assign a booth host to direct tradeshow goers to the appropriate person.
You can count on our team at South Paw Canada for all your tradeshow supply needs. If you have questions about tradeshows or want to learn more about what we can do for your business, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
